march/april trip with the family. . . first time abroad with everyone . . . pit stop in NYC on the way to ireland!!
8 days on the emerald isle . . . utterly stunning . . . everyone was so friendly, the landscape was majestic, and it was just as brilliantly green as you imagine it is from the photos and movies you see . . . castles (including a blarney stone kiss), pubs, countryside and pastures, ocean views and cliffs, sheep, fog, rain, narrow roads and tiny cars, mossy stones, small towns, bright paint, beautiful churches, gaelic signs and somewhat of a step back in time. guinness tour, temple bar area and famous temple bar, shepherd's pie and seafood and banoffee pie (even though a lot of food was english), bed and breakfasts with plenty of blood sausage (blech!!) and brown bread, cheese shop, silver jewelry and boats. treat at the end before heading back was the last night here that spoiled us forever, and left with the desire to return and take a thousand more images and spend more time with the people.
a million thank you's, m&d, for a trip of a lifetime - glad we didn't kill each other either :)
