april - june rewind

honored to have been invited to a fundraiser by A and her dad to support neonatal research . . . truly moving to see that many people working together for a common cause

contract work for a couple of months, later to find out that that would be my last contract job prior to a permanent position . . . phew!!

"i am" documentary with A . . . enlightening, inspiring and hopeful and at the perfect moment in time

weekend trip to sedona with A in late april to rejuvenate, relax and soak up life and nature . . . found great hotel in the middle of it all but secluded in the valley below . . . long hike and a chat/snack with foreigners, off-road walking along the creek to dinner, live guitar by an outdoor fire, dreams for the next year, yoga in the morning, balcony view and breeze, steam room and spa time, tlaquepaque visit
















schnepf farms peach festival in may with A, L, M and the kids . . . toured the farm and pick-your-own peaches . . . ended up spending about $30 because i just kept picking and picking and picking - so much fun! made stone fruit compote and easy peach cobbler (from T's blog) and shared all of the goodies with family and friends . . . omg!!!! can't wait to try K's mom's pie someday - i hear it's legendary and hard to come by!

after a rainy afternoon at the mcdowell mountains:

N & J's wedding in pine, az at the family's cabins . . . had a good time helping with the setup and decorating, a real family affair . . . green grass, wood, gazebo, sunflowers and royal blue accents, a beautiful night with lights in jars hanging from the trees and a clear, starry night sky . . . acted as the event photographer and had so much fun pretending like i knew what i was doing - that's one tough gig and now i really know it!





















got a permanent job in early june and started shortly thereafter . . . still loving it, doing good during the day, near home, lots of great people, lots of laughs and interesting work . . . so blessed after so long

one night visit to vail, az to see J and the family . . . just like we were never apart, dinner and a movie in town and church where i got to hear her sing in public for the first time . . . drove by old college house on the way home for a trip down memory lane and couldn't believe how long it had been (and that 5 girls survived living together in their early 20's) ;)


M&J visited post-colorado with amazing little travelers and lovers . . . A very curious and always moving, and B chillin' and sucking on his two fingers with his palm facing outward (so funny) . . . can't wait to meet them when they're older too . . . took them to the landlubbing aquarium and for as long as it lasted, they were mesmerized by the animals moving around in the clear liquid with all of the bright colors!
