went on a hike with A on friday and around 7am we were headed down when i saw something move on the ground in front of me (i was in the lead)...took a second for my little brain to process that it was a snake!! it had slithered out of a hole right in the middle of the trail and it took off into the brush...not sure what kind it was but think it was purple and brown, quite small in diameter but pretty long and really cool to see out there...A and i had a good scare, we were thankful that it wasn't a rattlesnake and when our goosebumps subsided we continued a little more alertly...those darn lizards everywhere didn't help as they rustled the bushes and scared me a few more times! respect nature and its creatures!! ;) A said she had never seen a snake during all of these years in AZ and that was only the second one i had ever seen...she also said they're good luck, so we each shared our dreams for that day and it was a really great hike!
saw this online and thought it was so great, especially what the parents had to say in the article and on his website: check this out and his site
not sure it's possible to laugh more sometimes with A, L and BBJ...

so excited for my dad (and bro too!)...this has been a long project but so awesome to see it finally finished, taking delivery next week...fully restored '65 mustang and really a work of art; pics don't do it justice b/c literally everything is custom...i AM going to drive it someday, although i'll probably have to sneak the keys, roll it down the driveway in neutral and coast down the street before starting it (haha)
concert this weekend and late next month...upcoming trips to CA and to northern AZ next month and in october...other things to look forward to as well and so grateful for each day...hope you are all experiencing wonderful things this summer!!!
